I just could not believe my ears when I heard Reckless Joe whining during the session that there's no respect from the public to their leaders nowadays. He blames the radio talk show and commenters of flaming this kind of behavior in the community. It is sad, really sad to hear our leaders complaining about being not respected. I wonder if the Delegate himself has give it any deep thoughts regarding the public's attitude toward our elected leaders. He could start by questioning whether the public are happy with $2,000 monthly official expense (untaxable by the way) they have added to their $32,000 annual salary to make their yearly total stand at $56,000. Claiming that they are the sole judge of how to use their official expense and will not subject it to audit or to answer to the public. I guess as sole judge of the official expense they now have good cover to go ahead and award themselves to the spoils. This is total arrogance and a complete irresponsibility. Does he know that this OEK just don't care what the people think, and he wonder why they get no respect from the public.
I suppose he believes that being elected to congress makes you exempt from criticism. I say if you are making $56,000 a year you should count your blessings or (er your money) and stop whining about us little people's lack of respect. There is a saying that goes, "if you cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen".
