Ladies and Gentlemen, Let the games begin. Although TR probably shouldn't be so high up on his horse... doesn't take a genius to know his administration wasn't the most transparent.

Here is another question for TR.....
If they picked Hokkons for this position, would he(TR)object to that too? I wonder...

Mosi,
TR is just getting started...I just heard this morning that senate leadership is about to change hand. The rumors swirling around town now is that JT does not consult with VP-Mariur on key issues including selection of ministers. VP-Mariur is said to be recieving orders from Lacius Malsol rather than JT. He found out about the selection of MOH-Kuartei after the fact. And Lucius was the one who called KM.
Its PDC's turn now. Lucius and Bisiur Kanai are now building hardware store in Airai getting ready for the Gov contracts.
Youlsau Bells for trade and commerce....nothing against Youlsau but she should explain why the grants for OERC or whatever her office are not accounted for based on transition records. She went from WCTC hotel front desk manager to govt coord and now minister....I am all for the "change" but not just for the sake of change, I hope "change" for better.

I hear you Janet,

I too have been hearing rumors, but it keeps shift shaping. Until we see something concrete, it's still rumors. I am in the same boat with you in regards to "change for the better" It's still the begining so let us give them the benefit of the doubt.

On the other hand, people are frustrated with eyes wide open. True colors will reveal itself. Whom ever will be on the end of the stick will never hear the end of it. This is not the right time to play with peoples lively hood. Considering the hardship we are already in.

Ke kmal mesulang for your voice. A bol betok a ngor eng locha mo sebechir rongesii a lengelel a beluu.

Janet,

stop spreading dirty rumors.

Things are just starting and it is best for
the new government to get a grip before you spread rumors like this.

I have heard better things to come.

Janet,
That's just it. Rumors!!!! Let's not get so eager and excited to comment on hearsays as they are exactly what they are, rumors that hold neither truth or fallacy. Whether it's TR or JT, instead of feeding rumors maybe you should feed some good advise. After all it's your beloved island !!!

Razzio,
When theres smoke theres fire. Appointment of Kuartei was a rumors. Trust me I know....many on Mariur side are now resisting the appointment of Youlsau but its comming soon. In a few days as a matter of fact. And YES, I believe in change and this admin. I hope and pray that they will deliver

Has anyone been watching Diaz the last few days? Has he gone nuts?

Janet,

Am I reading you right? Is Pres. JT throwing names and senators may advice to return some good names but were not know nor showing/openly compaigning for JT? But JT compaigned that he will appoint his cabinets based on well qualified, educated, strong supporter, and will guRntee/to help his re-election 2012.

I remembered him to appoint one from Peleliu/Gov.JacksonN, one lady Youlsau Bell Henny, two or three from Koror and 4 from Babeldaob.

Janet, I wish that senate return some names and recommend Sandra Pierantozzi to State, Augustine Mesebeluu to Education, John Skebong to Resources/land, Demei Otobed to Agriculture/Marine/Environment, JacksonN to Commerce,Transportation,Communication,
Jackson Henry to Investment Promotion,
Tina R. Marugg to Community/Cultural/Tourism, Scot Yano to Youth and Sports, LuciusMalsol to Oil Exploration/Comission. Pres. may amend government organization law to meet the above recommendations.

just my 2-1/2 cents.

Mesulang,

Janet, Janet, Janet...

Here you go again. What is wrong with Youlsau? Is she not Qualified? Last time I looked at her resume she had a couple of graduate school degrees!!! Isn't that what we want-an educated person, let alone a woman, to head a ministry!

I like Youlsau!!! Kudos for the new administration's appointment of Youlsau.

And all of a sudden former president/now senator Remengesau has a concience!!!! Where was this concience/moral bearing of his when he was cuddling with jumping Bells (sorry Youlsau) during his tenure at the helm? Why now? mmmm?

Does Youlsau have a graduate degree? From where? Has anyone checked? Her name change has caused some confusion but rumor has it that she has misled some about her education. Someone confirm.

Alii Belau.

Ngkora rau a renguk er tial tekoi losaod er ngii a Janet, I get her point and my ? is. Why Youlsau have a degree and been working at WCTC?

Uchel,
Give me a break...I went to school with her starting at UOG. She did not even graduate. Most of us went on to graduate school, including Caleb Udui jr, but not her. Take a closer look at her resume again.

Mahalo,
I myself is wondering about starting at WCTC hotel front desk when you have several graduate degree. Dont get me wrong, nothing wrong with starting at WCTC, it just that it seem odd.

Uchel,
Give a brake....she's is my classmate at UOG...she did not even finish.....doctoring her resume is more like it.

Janet.

To me, it looks like fix for her to get that position....wow....who knows there might be more
coming out so public can see and that we call it
domakes el moruchei.

Janet,

If what your alleging is true then it isz incumbent upon you to bring this to the new administration. Lak em ngarikl e mo metch alsekum tial tekoi molekoi er ngii a klemerang. I am sure if this is true the new administration would appreciate your help- afterall tia belau er kid.

On my part, I will look unto it and see what I can come up with afterall I believe what I saw.

ciao for now.

Hey Janet,
Did you graduate from UOG?

I too am not happy with nomination of Y. Bells. I person with degrees would not start as front desk. People with degrees should have this feeling of being something else not just an attendant to some counter somewhere. So if she does have the degree, than y cant she get her grant report at OERC together.. And what major accomplishments has OERC done to this environment.. Other than going around showing slide-shows of El-Ninio and the so called invasive species. She wrote letters to state governments saying theres grants to assist state for water tanks. Her office never followed up on this offer to each state until the deadline was due. When she was ask she blames each States for not submitting their proposals. What up with that?? All grant coordinators know that we get this grant for a certain purpose, and that purpose must be met... so she should've made follow-up calls to this particular matters.
Plus, during Campaign Antonio Bells and other 3 delegates went to Ngerchelong State the home state of VP Kerai Mariur and campaign against toribiong-maruir. JT should know by heart, that he won the election because of his running mate... I mean if these one-ticket thing was not on the election, KERAI MARIUR would've took ALL the vote cast at ngerchelong.. AND I KNOW THAT FOR SURE!!! JT as we all know have run several times, but this time he made it just because most of the votes were cast to Kerai Mariur NOT Johnson Toribiong. JT Promised us on his campaign that he would not involve any of his relative to his administration, now he names Joe Chilton for Ministry of State??? What does Joe know anything about foreign diplomatic ties???!! Well he may be getting his doctorate degree, and he may be teaching governmental politics but C'mon, Ministry of State!!? And y is it that VP mariur was not aware of Dr. Kaurtei nomination?
Talking about transparency huh??
I admit Im one of the strong supporters of Toribiong-Mariur.. but now im beginning but I gatta say Im not happy with this first week of this administration. By the way who helped JT make-up this list of Ministers? Who are his advisors? or is there any? no maybe theres only one advisor.. would be possibly Lacius, i bet its Steven Kanai....

Akurenges.

Olekoi, This is what you guy's ask for, to bad we can not read people's mind during the campaign....tirkal mlora kingal a rengmiu temedengel kemiu er chelchal time..e medengei el wasei ngerasomiu..no...they got the seat they earn huge dollars so they don't care....that's how I feel....lawyers are lawyers and their full of something.....wait and see more coming family involve.....JT got the seat he doesn't care what he said during his campaign.

Wow Akurenges - person with degrees should not start at front desk? I bet you're one of those educated hot shot Palauans who right after college expect to be seated at the right hand of the President. Front desk at WCTC too good for you, eh. Ollekeang. Well, keep orrenges-ing. Maybe the sky will fall so be sure to let us all know. Speaking of sky and heavens - what planet do you hail from?

Olekoi,
No, I was running around too...I just happened to find myself attending graduate school after UOG. not bad ha...

The most dangerous thing about this new administration so far is its transition committee. Its members have been going around palau like it's a witch hunt and spreading rumours. It's really a lot of muscle-flexing. JT needs to reel them in and tell them that it's only him that makes the policies. The transition committee wrote to board members of government agencies directing them to submit "courtesy resignations" even though they have a designated terms, not terms dependent upon who the president is. JT did not know about this and told board members to disregard these letters. Moses Uludong is going around announcing himself as "ombudsman" and that people better watch themselves or he's "gonna get you". I'm all for transparency and accountability. But when hard-working and honest people are made to feel like they are the subjects of criminal investigations, there is a problem.

Janet, ng 19 oingerang ekemle graduate ra UOG? Ngeral degree a mngiluu? BS?
Alii e Mahalo.

Can we please cut the new administration some slack because it's only been the first week since the transition from TR's administration. I hope everything that was said about JT on here was all hearsay and speculation. Let the man lay out his foundation, announce his policies and such before anyone make any assumptions!

Some people on this forum talk so much smack!

Kediou mekomsesei maluut ekemla reuebt. Alii a kututeklau ra Janet.

We are all still in the dark, but eventually things will clear out at the end. Bits and bits of information will build a case. Thanks all for your imputs...

I'm curious to know who are the chosen ones - JT's ministers? I read an article from MVarietynews saying that names remain undisclosed and will be revealed next week or upon confirmation in order to prevent embarrassment to anyone rejected! I can respect this reasoning but it seems undemocratic.

It's all dung...and it's coming to your face, can you smell it?

Speculations, assumptions, etc...that is how they want to stall all of you until they decide what they want. Get the picture?

If they aren't sure, they aren't sure. And that's that.

bach~

Middleast,

Yes, she got degree at the University of South Africa. If can recalled she arranged a long trip with fmr. pres. TRjr. spending our tax money of less than $200K to recieved presidential dr. degree. So, stop wandering about her she is okay and qualified.

I am wanfering why fmr. ministry of Commerce, Otoichi Besebes resigned but Tr did not put to replace him?

Yes, Antonio Bells was openly opposed Toribiong-Mariur because Joel T. and he asking pres, TR to pardon him. TR pardon but did not informed the public even Bells asked his cousin Moses Uludong not to publicised thru Tia Belau. Bells made a request last Jan. 16, 2009. Sorry for Jumping ex-Speaker Bells.

lol,

hehehe, sulang e Rich58.

Janet, ngera da?

Olekioi,

I'm just saying with a degree you would not wanna be a front desk clerk!! Its to cheap, and I'm sure i wanna your too proud to be one, and would like to show off your time and effort that i have invested to such degree... Considering Y. Bells personality, she wouldn't be a Clerk that easily.
